Day 1: ARRIVAL Upon arrival in Kampala, a Natur Lovers Holidays representative will transfer you to your hotel. If time allows, explore UWEC, known for its captive animals and 170+ bird species, including rare weavers like the Northern Masked Weaver and Orange Weaver. Dinner and overnight at Tilapia Lodge. Day 2: KAMPALA – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK Depart Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Pause at the Ugandan equator for photos and souvenirs. After lunch in Mbarara, proceed southwest towards the Western Rift Valley. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive. Overnight at Bush Lodge. Day 3: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK Start the day with an early game drive in the northern part of the park, offering exceptional game viewing and birding opportunities. Explore open grassy plains with flocks of White and Abdims Stork, and witness migratory species like the Saddle Billed Stork. Raptors abound, including the Brown Snake Eagle and Bateleur. After lunch, enjoy a boat launch, observing hippos, elephants, and various migratory bird species. Return for dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge. Day 4: QUEEN ELIZABETH – LAKE BUNYONYI Depart Queen Elizabeth with game and bird viewing en route to Lake Bunyonyi, known as the "Little Switzerland of Uganda". Marvel at the deep Lake Bunyonyi and, on clear days, the stunning Mount Muhavura. Arrive at the "Lake of the small birds" and board a motorboat to Bushara Island. Dinner and overnight at Bird's nest Resort. Day 5: LAKE BUNYONYI Start your day with breakfast, then rent a canoe to explore the surrounding islands and birdlife. After lunch, embark on a Bird Walk in Mukoni Village, passing through small farms and enjoying panoramic views while spotting various bird species like the African Hobby and Scarlet-chested Sunbirds. Dinner and overnight at Bird's nest Resort. Day 6: LAKE BUNYONYI – KAMPALA After breakfast, journey back to the capital with lunch on the way. Enjoy the scenic countryside during the approximately 7-hour drive, arriving in Kampala late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge. Day 7: DEPARTURE Depart with cherished memories from the Pearl of Africa. Depending on your flight time, transfer to the airport for your journey home. We hope to welcome you back soon!
